Mikel Jean (MJ) brings over a decade of medical experience to Brown Fertility in Jacksonville, specializing in Emergency Medicine and organ transplant care. She began her academic journey at the University of North Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. She then went on to attend South College in Asheville, NC, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. MJ is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Before becoming a PA, MJ gained valuable clinical experience working in the Emergency Department at Mayo Clinic Florida, later transitioning to a role on the anesthesia team assisting with organ transplant surgeries. It was during these formative years and throughout PA school that she developed a strong passion for women’s health and reproductive medicine, ultimately leading her to pursue a career with Brown Fertility.

Originally born on the island of Guam, MJ moved to Florida with her family and has spent most of her adolescence and adult life in the Sunshine State. She now lives in Jacksonville with her husband. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors with a good book, playing pickleball with friends, or relaxing at the beach. MJ is proud to be part of the Brown Fertility family and feels honored to help patients realize their dreams of starting or growing their families.
