We are pleased to announce Dr. Rafael Cabrera as the newest addition to the Brown Fertility family. Dr. Cabrera is now seeing patients in our Orlando location.
Dr. Rafael A. Cabrera, Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, joins Brown Fertility with more than 12 years of experience as an infertility specialist. Similar to Dr. Samuel E. Brown, Dr. Cabrera completed his REI fellowship at the prestigious Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, VA – the birthplace of modern in-vitro fertilization. Together, Dr. Brown and Dr. Cabrera make up the only team of Jones Institute graduates practicing together in the state of Florida.
Dr. Rafael Cabrera, who is fluent in Spanish, is a native of Puerto Rico and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. He completed his internship at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He was a practicing OB/GYN before pursuing subspecialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. Dr. Cabrera’s expertise is Reproductive Surgery and high quality IVF for women with decreased ovarian reserve.
Prior to joining Brown Fertility, Dr. Cabrera practiced reproductive medicine in South Florida and was recognized as a “Best Doctor” by US News & World Report in 2012 and 2013.
