Anna Sosa, Embryologist
Anna brings a great deal of experience to Brown Fertility with the oversight of 12,000 IVF cycles. She graduated from Central University of Venezuela with a 5 year degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
Prior to joining Brown Fertility, Anna worked at the Military Hospital in Emergency Laboratories and at the Children’s Hospital in Caracas, but soon became fascinated by the innovative field of Embryology and IVF and thus accepted a full time position at the Fertility Clinic of the Educational Medical Center La Trinidad, where she participated in Venezuela’s first ICSI baby born in 1996.
Anna has furthered her experience and training in the United States since 2005, becoming one of the main embryologists freezing eggs for a commercial Egg Bank, working as Laboratory Supervisor at Augusta University and more recently as Director of Embryology at the University of Miami.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, reading and travelling to new places with her daughters. She is also fluent in Spanish, English, Russian, basic German.
